Crib Bedding

Here is a picture of our crib bedding that we just bought...and no this is NOT our nursery haha! We havn't done anything in the nursery yet, but we plan on getting started soon :) I knew I wanted to do a ladybug theme & this bedding was perfect. We bought a 10 piece set, which basically comes with everything pictured excpet for the lamp & crib mobile. We even get the cute wall hangings & curtains! Oh and of course the crib itself & nightstand is not included. We both LOVE this set!!!!!

20 weeks

I am now 20 weeks pregnant! Starting to feel our baby girl moving around now, which is amazing! Crazy that we are already half way through our pregnancy, although I know we still have a long way to go. I am just enjoying every day & I must admit that I love being pregnant :)

We are having a girl!!!! We are sooo excited! What a blessing to have a precious little girl in our family! Our ultrasound was this morning & we could hardly wait to find out what we were having! When she said, "It's a girl!" I could hardly believe it! We are just overjoyed at the thought of having a daughter :) The ultra sound was amazing & our technician showed us everything! We got to see her heart beating, legs, arms, hands, feet! About half way through the US she got a little shy and started being a stinker by tucking her chin to her chest & hiding from the US haha. She loves to wave her arms around & have them up by her face. She also likes to tuck her legs up in a ball..she sleeps like mom already! I am starting to feel movements which is very cool..just knowing she is inside moving around is awesome. She is about 11 ounces right now...I am almost 20 weeks along. We are now thinking in terms of "pink"....

Kitchen Bar

Well our house is getting done a little more day by day! Mike just finished grouting the tile in the kitchen which is SO nice! I love this tile because it doesn't show hardly anything on it & you don't notice if it is dirty until you are scrubbing it :) He also just finished the kitchen bar...it is amazing! He is SO creative...he pulled a bunch of barn wood off of an od barn out at his dad's house & used it under the bar counter! It looks very unique & classy! It adds a special touch to our kitchen! It is so nice that the whole kitchen is now done! Pretty soon we will be able to start working on the baby's room :)

Anticipation!

We are getting very excited for this coming Friday the 29th when we will get an ultra sound. I am very exicted to find out if we are having a boy or girl..and also just to see our little one moving around again! It is just the most amazing thing to experience! I am 19 weeks today and my belly is getting a little bigger every day! I told Mike that it seems like he/she goes through little growth spurts randomly & I wake up with a rounder belly! We just feel so blessed to have this baby growing inside of me & I can't wait to start preparing for him or her! I will try to put our Ultra Sound picture on if I can find a scanner to use :)

Baby Belly at 18 wks

This past Sunday was my 18 week mark of our pregnancy :) I think my belly is finally starting to pop out...yay! Actually this picture was taken a few days ago and I think that the baby must have a grown a lot in the past few days, because I think it has gotten bigger already! Everything is going great for us & the baby. Our last appoinment went well & the baby's heart beat was 151 bpm. I just love hearing the heart beat at every appt...what a blessing! We are SO excited because we get to find out the sex of the baby, which we have dubbed "Peanut," on Jan 29th! I absolutely can not wait to start planning! I am feeling great & Mike & I have been able to work out at the local gym several days a week which really helps as well. I will continue to update our blog as we move throughout my pregnancy...for now be praying for our little one to be healthy & strong!

As a tradition we all went up to Cimarron, CO to stay at some cabins owned by Sonrise Mountain Ranch with the whole family. This year was the first year for Mike & I as a married couple so we even got our own cabin!!! We spent 3 days in the beautiful mountains 4-wheeling, sledding, and just spending time in the snow. Every evening we all got together at the lodge to eat supper & play games...so fun! We even got to see some really neat fireworks on New Years eve at the YWAM base (Youth With A Mission) a few miles away. Mike & I really had a great time hanging out with our family..it feels like it has been awhile!!!

Christmas in Colorado!!!

We got to got home for Christmas this year & we had such a great time seeing our friends & family!!! My grandma Carol Hartman also joined us from Texas this year, which was nice too. We spent about a week and a half with my family in Montrose. Christmas day was spent with the whole Penasa/Kastendieck/Goodwin etc clan!!! It was awesome seeing all of the family! We also will have a new addition to the Penasa family soon (no, not just baby Hostetler)...Mitch proposed to Audra while we were there & we are SO excited for her to be a part of our family!!!
