Tonight we decided to pull up the linoleum in the kitchen to prepare for tiling. We also decided to pull off the ugly wood siding that was on the kitchen walls. What we found was a sight to see for sure! Behind the wood siding was a horrible yellow wall and there was not one layer of linoleum on the floor...but 4!!! Four layers of different linoleum! How weird is that?! I am excited to get the floor started and to finish painting the walls. We already painted part of the kitchen red and we will finish painting with a beige.
Mike's mom also brought me a bunch of extra vegetables from her garden and so I have been thinking of ways to use them. I made a delicious squash casserole from a recipe from my sister in law...it was very good actually! I also made my mom's yummy zuchini bread...I have been craving it for awhile now! Mike also got my wash line hung up today, which will help because we do not have a washer & dryer yet and I have to wash clothes at the laundromat..hanging my wash will help save money & time spent at the laundromat. This hot weather will also dry it quickly I am sure!!!
Come on, what is wrong with that beautiful yellow wall? Red and yellow in the house, its just like McDonalds....nothing wrong with that right?!=) I would love to be able to help you paint since I have a painting addiction and currently none of my walls need a new color.
